Minnetonka is a Twin Cities suburb located west of Minneapolis. The city is bisected by Interstates 494, 394, Highways 169 and 62. Commercial development is concentrated in these areas, with highrises in the far northwestern and far southeastern sections of the city. The western portions of the city border Lake Minnetonka, the largest in the metro area and a mecca for million-dollar homes and year-round recreation.
